Majestic Presence
I am amazed every day with nearby Mount Ranier standing in all its majesty. God daily paints her with everychanging colors and cloud portraits that sometimes cause me as an artist to stop and just stare. This magnificient marvel can fill the sky with a presence that looms over the valley for hundreds of miles that is unmistakably visible. Then there are other days when clouds fill the sky and you would never even know that such a mountain ever existed. Once my friend came out to visit me from Ohio and over the course of a week never saw the mountain. He left still wondering if it really existed at all or if it was just a product of our imagination. God's presence in our lives is like that. Some days He is so obvious with His work that the beauty and majesty of Who He is overwhelms me. Other days the clouds of distress and trouble overwhelm me to the point that I wonder if He really exists at all. In reality He has never left. When trouble clouds His presence I can be at peace that the same majestic God of miracles stands nearby as the strength of my life. My presence is His presence.
